BF UV Protective Mask for Solar Simulation Systems
Professional UV protection for the head, face and neck when working under artificial solar radiation
The BF UV Protective Mask has been specially designed for use in solar simulation systems, solar simulators and industrial irradiation systems. It protects the head, face and neck from UV radiation and complements the BF UV Protective Coverall to create a comprehensive UV protection system for work in irradiation areas.
Solar simulation systems generate high irradiance levels and, depending on the light source used, may contain significant levels of UV radiation. Particularly during maintenance, adjustment and testing work inside an active solar simulation system, exposed areas of skin must be adequately protected.
The BF UV Protective Mask is made of elastic UV protective fabric and provides a close, comfortable fit. The extended neck section is worn underneath the BF UV Protective Coverall. This creates an overlap between the protective areas of the mask and coverall, providing the most complete possible coverage of the head, neck and body. Suitable BF UV Protective Glasses are worn over the mask.

The BF UV Protective Mask is made of 80% polyamide and 20% elastane and can be washed at 30°C.

According to the current product documentation, the UV protective fabrics provide UPF 50+ in accordance with AS/NZS 4399:2017 and are certified according to UV Standard 801 with UPF 80.
The BF UV Protective Mask is therefore a professional addition to personal protective equipment for applications involving artificial solar radiation and UV exposure.
Note: The BF UV Protective Mask is designed for UV protection and does not provide mechanical head protection. In particular, it does not replace an industrial safety helmet or bump cap.
