Cloud and Tunnel Simulation

BF Engineering’s cloud and tunnel simulation enables the realistic reproduction of dynamic lighting conditions for the development and validation of modern vehicle systems. Changing cloud cover, defined brightness profiles, and reproducible light-to-dark transitions when entering and exiting tunnels can be simulated automatically. Different light intensities, transition times, and lighting scenarios can be precisely configured to reproduce real-world environmental conditions in a laboratory environment.

This enables cameras, optical sensors, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and vehicle lighting to be tested efficiently and reproducibly. Precise lighting control provides reliable and repeatable measurement results independent of natural weather and environmental influences.

Thanks to their modular design and integration into existing test benches, the systems are suitable both for new installations and for retrofitting existing test facilities in the automotive, aerospace, rail, and research sectors.
