From the Initial Requirement to the System Concept
Every custom system starts with an individual requirement. Together with our customers, we turn this requirement into a technically and economically viable concept.
Our engineering services cover concept development, technical design, 3D engineering and system planning through to complete documentation. Mechanics, electrical engineering, control systems, safety and subsequent integration are already taken into account during the development phase.
This transforms an initial idea into a custom machine ready for manufacturing and integration.
Design and Manufacturing from a Single Source
We develop and manufacture the mechanical and electrical infrastructure of our custom systems, fully tailored to the respective application.
Our capabilities range from machine frames, enclosures and test specimen fixtures to linear motion and positioning systems, sensors, actuators, electrical design and control cabinet construction.
Complex motion sequences and unusual installation conditions can also be implemented individually.
Intelligent Control for Individual Processes
Our in-house software and automation department develops the appropriate control system for each application – from simple operating concepts to fully automated testing and process sequences.
Our services include PLC programming, Siemens control systems, HMI systems, visualization, measurement data acquisition and interfaces to existing customer and test systems.
Mechanics, electrical engineering and software are developed as one integrated system from the very beginning.
Specialists in Light and Irradiation
One of BF Engineering’s particular areas of expertise is the combination of classic custom machine engineering with advanced light and irradiation technology.
We integrate solar simulation, HMI and HQI light sources, UV, VIS and IR systems, as well as customized irradiation solutions, into special-purpose machines and test benches.
The spectrum, irradiance, homogeneity, distance and movement of the light source can be precisely adapted to the respective testing process.
This enables the development of customized irradiation systems and test systems that go far beyond standardized solutions.
