UV Bulb BF-UV2000F
High-performance 2,000 W UV bulb for professional irradiation and testing systems
The BF-UV2000F is a high-performance UV bulb designed for professional applications in photovoltaics, material testing, research, and industrial quality assurance.
With a rated power of 2,000 W and a broad UV spectrum, the BF-UV2000F is particularly suitable for UV irradiation systems, PV testing systems, and accelerated aging tests.
An important field of application is the testing of photovoltaic modules and solar panels. Controlled UV irradiation allows materials and components to be examined and qualified under reproducible laboratory conditions.
Its compact design enables integration into both existing and newly developed UV systems. In addition to individual UV bulbs, BF Engineering also develops and manufactures complete UV irradiation and testing systems.
The BF-UV2000F UV Bulb is designed for demanding industrial and scientific UV applications.
Typical applications include:
- Photovoltaic and solar module testing
- UV preconditioning of PV modules
- Accelerated UV aging tests
- Material and component qualification
- Testing of plastics and polymers
- Testing of paints and coatings
- Automotive material testing
- Research and development applications
- Industrial UV irradiation
The BF-UV2000F can be used in existing UV systems as well as in customized irradiation systems.
The BF-UV2000F generates a broad UV spectrum for intensive irradiation of a wide range of materials and components.
The bulb covers the relevant ranges from UV-C through UV-B to UV-A and extends into the visible spectral range. The main UV radiation output is concentrated in the UV-A range from 315 to 400 nm.
The actual irradiance at the test specimen is influenced by the design of the overall system and depends, among other factors, on optics, distance, cooling, and operating conditions.

UV Irradiation of PV Modules
Photovoltaic modules are exposed to intense solar and UV radiation for many years throughout their service life.
In particular, plastics, encapsulation materials, backsheets, coatings, adhesives, and material interfaces can be affected by long-term UV exposure.
Controlled UV irradiation makes it possible to investigate these effects under reproducible laboratory conditions.
The BF-UV2000F is suitable as a radiation source for PV UV testing and UV preconditioning and can be integrated into corresponding testing and irradiation systems.
A professional UV testing system consists of more than just the bulb. The achievable irradiance and uniformity are significantly influenced by the design of the overall system.
BF Engineering develops customized UV irradiation systems and UV testing systems for different test specimen sizes and applications.
The BF-UV2000F can be used both as a replacement bulb for suitable existing systems and as a radiation source for newly developed systems.
