LIVINOS infrared heating panels for living spaces and bathrooms
BF Engineering expands its infrared irradiation section with an overview of indoor heating solutions. The infrared heating panels presented here are from LIVINOS and are available through the LIVINOS website. Depending on the model, they can be mounted on a wall or ceiling and integrated into different interior designs.
Whether for a living room, home office or bathroom, the requirements depend on the space and how it is used. Room size, structural conditions and the intended position of the panel all influence which version is suitable. The selection should therefore take account of both heating requirements and the available space for installation.
LIVINOS offers different panel types and finishes. These include wall and ceiling heating panels as well as a heated mirror for the bathroom. The product can be selected to suit the room, from a discreet white panel to a model that becomes a visible part of the interior design.

A wall-mounted panel can be positioned where it fits naturally into the interior. The LIVINOS Felis is an example of an aluminium heating panel designed for wall mounting.
When planning the installation, consider the available wall space, the panel’s position in relation to the area in use, and the wall’s load-bearing capacity. Output, dimensions and mounting requirements depend on the selected product version.
A ceiling-mounted panel leaves wall space available for furniture, artwork and windows. The LIVINOS Helio is designed for this type of installation. Its position should be chosen according to the area of the room in use.

The LIVINOS Tharja combines a mirror and a heating function in a wall-mounted unit. Model-specific features include lighting and a display. When selecting it for a bathroom, consider the mounting position, heating requirements and the product’s technical specifications.
Felis, Helio and Tharja differ in mounting method, surface finish, output and intended use. Comparing these characteristics provides a starting point; suitability for a particular room should be assessed using the specifications of the individual product.

How does an infrared heater work?
An infrared heating panel emits radiant heat. It reaches people and surfaces in the room, where it is perceived as warmth.
How quickly does a heating panel warm up?
According to LIVINOS, infrared heaters generally reach their operating temperature within 5 to 15 minutes.
How far should the panel be from the area in use?
LIVINOS recommends a distance of no more than approximately three metres from the area where the heat should be directly noticeable. The appropriate position also depends on the room and the selected model.
What determines electricity consumption?
The panel’s output and how long it operates. A higher-output panel consumes more electricity over the same operating period. Output and usage should therefore be matched to the room’s heating requirements.
Can a panel be mounted on a drywall partition?
This may be possible. The wall’s load-bearing capacity, suitable fixings and the mounting instructions for the specific panel are decisive.
What should be considered during installation?
In addition to a suitable mounting surface, the electrical connection must be taken into account. Requirements depend on the selected product and the existing installation.
How environmentally friendly is infrared heating?
An infrared heater uses electricity to generate heat. Its environmental impact therefore also depends on how that electricity is produced, for example whether it comes from renewable sources.
