Solar Simulation with Vertical Movement
With this system, BF Engineering sets new standards in combining solar simulation and wind tunnel technology. The system was developed for one of the world’s most advanced wind tunnels and enables the realistic combination of aerodynamic and thermal loads under reproducible laboratory conditions.
A particular highlight is the integrated shutter system, which not only allows the intensity of solar radiation to be precisely controlled but also enables dynamic scenarios such as passing clouds or tunnel entrances and exits to be realistically simulated. This makes it possible to accurately reproduce and validate a wide range of driving and environmental conditions.
The system serves as a benchmark project for the automotive industry and sets new standards for the development of future vehicle concepts. It provides manufacturers and engineering service providers with a unique test platform for optimizing thermal management, climate control, and energy efficiency under realistic conditions and at the highest technical level.
