Supratech HTC1000 UV Bulb
Powerful 1,000 W UV bulb for material testing, curing and industrial UV applications
The Supratech HTC1000 UV bulb is a powerful 1,000 W high-pressure UV bulb designed for technical and industrial irradiation applications. With high radiation output in the UV-A and UV-B ranges, the bulb is particularly suitable for material testing, artificial weathering, curing and drying processes.
Typical applications include large-area curing of plastics, drying of paints and coatings, curing of adhesives and artificial weathering of materials. Other applications include the exposure of diazo film material and printing templates as well as fluorescence excitation.
Thanks to its compact design and high UV output, the Supratech HTC1000 UV bulb can be integrated into existing UV systems as well as newly developed irradiation and testing systems.
The Supratech HTC1000 UV bulb is suitable for a wide range of industrial and scientific UV applications:
- Artificial weathering
- UV irradiation and material testing
- Large-area curing of plastics
- Drying of paints and coatings
- Curing of adhesives
- Testing of coatings and surfaces
- Exposure of diazo film material and printing templates
- Fluorescence excitation
- Research and development applications
- Industrial UV irradiation
The Supratech HTC1000 generates intense ultraviolet radiation with a high proportion in the UV-A range.
| Spectral range | Radiation output |
|---|---|
| UV-A: 315–400 nm | 240 W |
| UV-B: 280–315 nm | 40 W |
With 240 W of UV-A radiation output, the bulb is particularly suitable for applications requiring intense and reproducible UV irradiation. An additional 40 W of UV-B radiation output is available.
The actual irradiance achieved on the test specimen depends on the design of the overall system, particularly the optics, distance, cooling and operating conditions.
| Technical Data | Supratech HTC1000 |

The compact design, with an overall length of 140 mm and an arc length of 48 mm, provides high UV output within a relatively small installation space.
UV irradiation for artificial weathering
UV radiation can change the properties of plastics, paints, adhesives, coatings and other materials over time.
In UV testing systems, materials are therefore deliberately exposed to a defined radiation load. This allows ageing processes to be investigated under controlled laboratory conditions and different materials, coatings or material combinations to be compared.
Artificial weathering is one of the intended applications of this type of UV bulb.
The Supratech HTC1000 is therefore particularly suitable for material development, quality assurance, and research and development applications.
The performance of a UV application is not determined by the bulb alone. The optical design, reflector geometry, cooling, electrical power supply and distance from the irradiated object are also important factors.
BF Engineering develops complete UV irradiation systems and UV testing systems and supports the integration of the Supratech HTC1000 into suitable existing or newly developed systems.
With its combination of 1,000 W electrical power, compact design and high UV-A radiation output, the Supratech HTC1000 is suitable for a wide range of industrial irradiation and testing applications.
