El elemento central del sistema es una tecnolog\u00eda de obturadores mec\u00e1nicos que permite reproducir de forma controlada situaciones reales de conducci\u00f3n, como el paso de nubes o la entrada en un t\u00fanel, dentro de un t\u00fanel de viento clim\u00e1tico. El proyecto se realiz\u00f3 a trav\u00e9s de Aiolos Engineering y se basa en 28 luminarias de alta potencia BF SUN.\r\n\r\nEl reto t\u00e9cnico reside en la tecnolog\u00eda HMI utilizada: las luminarias HMI de alta potencia no pueden encenderse y apagarse libremente durante un ensayo en curso. Despu\u00e9s de apagarlas, es necesario un periodo de enfriamiento antes de poder volver a encenderlas. Para conseguir cambios r\u00e1pidos de iluminaci\u00f3n, la radiaci\u00f3n se interrumpe mec\u00e1nicamente mediante obturadores mientras las luminarias contin\u00faan funcionando en su estado operativo estable.\r\n\r\nLa instalaci\u00f3n de Volvo utiliza para ello un sistema de obturador giratorio \u201cTunnel-Cloud\u201d especialmente desarrollado. Elementos mec\u00e1nicos de sombreado se desplazan selectivamente delante de las fuentes de luz individuales para reducir o interrumpir su radiaci\u00f3n. De este modo pueden generarse cambios r\u00e1pidos de luminosidad sin afectar al comportamiento t\u00e9rmico y espectral de las fuentes de luz HMI mediante su apagado y posterior encendido. La especificaci\u00f3n del proyecto identifica expresamente el sistema como \u201cSunSim for CWT 28x4000W with shutter\u201d y el obturador como \u201cDrehshutter Tunnel-Cloud\u201d.\r\n\r\nEsto permite investigar escenarios din\u00e1micos de conducci\u00f3n bajo condiciones de laboratorio controladas: un veh\u00edculo puede someterse inicialmente a una carga t\u00e9rmica bajo radiaci\u00f3n solar completa, entrar posteriormente en poco tiempo en una zona de sombra o t\u00fanel simulada y volver a exponerse despu\u00e9s a la radiaci\u00f3n solar completa. Tambi\u00e9n pueden reproducirse cambios de sombra provocados por nubes. Estos cambios transitorios de carga son especialmente relevantes para el desarrollo de sistemas modernos de climatizaci\u00f3n y gesti\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica.\r\n\r\nLa instalaci\u00f3n alcanza una irradiancia m\u00e1xima de 1.200 W\/m\u00b2 sobre una superficie de referencia de 6 \u00d7 3 metros. En combinaci\u00f3n con el sistema de simulaci\u00f3n de nubes, la irradiancia puede reducirse hasta 300 W\/m\u00b2. La homogeneidad requerida es del 5 %. En total se utilizan 28 luminarias BF SUN de 4.000 W cada una, lo que corresponde a 112 kW de potencia de l\u00e1mparas instalada.\r\n\r\nEl sistema fue dise\u00f1ado para funcionar en las exigentes condiciones de un t\u00fanel de viento clim\u00e1tico. La simulaci\u00f3n solar puede funcionar a temperaturas de hasta \u221210 \u00b0C; la c\u00e1mara est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ada para condiciones de hasta \u221230 \u00b0C o +60 \u00b0C, as\u00ed como para simulaciones de lluvia y nieve. Tres piran\u00f3metros miden la irradiancia y permiten ajustar y supervisar el sistema de forma reproducible.\r\n\r\nMediante la combinaci\u00f3n de simulaci\u00f3n solar de alta potencia y tecnolog\u00eda de obturadores mec\u00e1nicos, BF Engineering ampl\u00eda los ensayos solares convencionales con una dimensi\u00f3n decisiva: no solo puede reproducirse la intensidad de la radiaci\u00f3n solar, sino tambi\u00e9n cambios r\u00e1pidos y realistas de la carga solar. De este modo se crea una plataforma de desarrollo vers\u00e1til para investigar el comportamiento de los veh\u00edculos bajo condiciones ambientales
