El innovador concepto de instalaci\u00f3n fue desarrollado originalmente para un t\u00fanel de viento clim\u00e1tico de Mercedes-Benz y posteriormente constituy\u00f3 la base tecnol\u00f3gica para otros proyectos internacionales, entre ellos SAIC Motor en Shangh\u00e1i, China. El sistema de SAIC fue dise\u00f1ado expresamente sobre la base de la instalaci\u00f3n en arco ya implementada en Mercedes-Benz en Sindelfingen.\r\n\r\nEl elemento central de la instalaci\u00f3n es un bastidor en forma de arco de grandes dimensiones sobre el que todo el campo de luminarias puede desplazarse de forma motorizada desde un lado del veh\u00edculo, pasando por encima del techo, hasta el lado opuesto. La posici\u00f3n solar puede ajustarse de forma continua en un rango angular de \u221285\u00b0 a +85\u00b0. De este modo, la direcci\u00f3n de irradiaci\u00f3n puede modificarse continuamente durante un ensayo y puede simularse un ciclo solar completo, desde la baja posici\u00f3n del sol por la ma\u00f1ana, pasando por el sol del mediod\u00eda, hasta la puesta de sol, bajo condiciones de laboratorio reproducibles.\r\n\r\nA diferencia de una simulaci\u00f3n solar est\u00e1tica convencional, no solo cambia la intensidad de la irradiaci\u00f3n, sino tambi\u00e9n el \u00e1ngulo real de incidencia de la radiaci\u00f3n sobre el veh\u00edculo. Las puertas, superficies acristaladas, techo, cap\u00f3, parte trasera e interior reciben una carga t\u00e9rmica desde diferentes direcciones en funci\u00f3n de la posici\u00f3n solar simulada. Adem\u00e1s, las zonas delantera y trasera del campo de luminarias pueden inclinarse hasta 45\u00b0 para irradiar espec\u00edficamente las zonas frontal y trasera.\r\n\r\nPara el proyecto posterior de SAIC, la tecnolog\u00eda se implement\u00f3 con 28 luminarias BF SUN de 4.000 W cada una. El sistema alcanza una irradiancia de hasta 1.200 W\/m\u00b2 sobre una superficie de referencia de 6 \u00d7 2,5 metros, con una homogeneidad superior a \u00b110 %. La instalaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ada para veh\u00edculos de hasta 6 \u00d7 2,5 \u00d7 2 m y genera un espectro global seg\u00fan Air Mass 1.5.\r\n\r\nLas posiciones y los niveles de potencia libremente programables permiten almacenar y reproducir tanto posiciones solares definidas como perfiles completos de irradiaci\u00f3n. Seis piran\u00f3metros registran la irradiancia real. Por ello, el sistema es especialmente adecuado para investigaciones exigentes de gesti\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica, climatizaci\u00f3n, habit\u00e1culo y componentes sensibles a la temperatura a lo largo de un ciclo solar diario realista.\r\n\r\nLa instalaci\u00f3n en arco combina as\u00ed una elevada potencia de irradiaci\u00f3n con una extraordinaria libertad de movimiento mec\u00e1nico y traslada el movimiento natural del sol a un entorno de laboratorio controlable. El concepto, implementado por primera vez en 2010, y las posteriores instalaciones internacionales demuestran la amplia experiencia de BF Engineering en el desarrollo de sistemas de simulaci\u00f3n
