La instalaci\u00f3n dispone de 54 luminarias de alta potencia BF SUN de 4.000 W cada una, alcanzando una potencia total instalada de 216 kW.\r\n\r\nLa caracter\u00edstica principal es la estructura de luminarias motorizada, desplazable e inclinable. Los bastidores de luminarias pueden inclinarse lateralmente hasta 70\u00b0 desde su posici\u00f3n horizontal y desplazarse adicionalmente en sentido horizontal. Esto permite adaptar con precisi\u00f3n la direcci\u00f3n de la irradiaci\u00f3n a la geometr\u00eda del veh\u00edculo, desde la irradiaci\u00f3n convencional del techo hasta la irradiaci\u00f3n lateral intensiva de ventanas, carrocer\u00eda y otras superficies exteriores.\r\n\r\nEsta flexibilidad permite reproducir de forma realista diferentes posiciones del sol. Adem\u00e1s de un sol de mediod\u00eda casi vertical, pueden simularse \u00e1ngulos de incidencia bajos, como los que se producen durante el amanecer o el atardecer. Al mismo tiempo, determinados componentes del veh\u00edculo pueden someterse espec\u00edficamente a una elevada carga solar lateral. Con la zona frontal inclinada hacia abajo, la instalaci\u00f3n alcanza una irradiancia de 1.100 W\/m\u00b2 a una distancia de irradiaci\u00f3n de 2,0 m y una homogeneidad superior a \u00b110 %.\r\n\r\nLa superficie principal de referencia abarca unos impresionantes 19 \u00d7 3 metros, permitiendo una irradiaci\u00f3n homog\u00e9nea de autobuses completos y otros veh\u00edculos comerciales de gran tama\u00f1o. La combinaci\u00f3n de ajuste de altura, desplazamiento horizontal e inclinaci\u00f3n permite posicionar las luminarias de forma \u00f3ptima respecto al veh\u00edculo correspondiente. Las dimensiones del veh\u00edculo, como longitud, anchura y altura, se tienen en cuenta en el sistema de control para establecer autom\u00e1ticamente l\u00edmites de movimiento seguros.\r\n\r\nPor tanto, la instalaci\u00f3n ofrece una plataforma de ensayo excepcionalmente flexible para el desarrollo y la validaci\u00f3n de sistemas de climatizaci\u00f3n, gesti\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica y materiales destinados a veh\u00edculos de gran tama\u00f1o. En particular, la irradiaci\u00f3n lateral espec\u00edfica permite realizar investigaciones realistas de la aportaci\u00f3n de calor solar a trav\u00e9s de grandes superficies acristaladas de autobuses, as\u00ed como de la carga t\u00e9rmica sobre materiales de carrocer\u00eda, interior y
